Re-Mineralising Mouth Rinse Recipe

Make your own money-saving and effective Re-Mineralising Mouth Rinse Recipe.

Having read Ramiel Nagel’s book “Cure Tooth Decay” several years ago, I was aware that the teeth are designed to repair under the correct conditions.

When the body has enough minerals, the saliva coats the teeth, naturally remineralising them and healing any cavities before they become a problem.

Sadly, factory farming methods have overfarmed the soil, causing mineral depletion.  In addition, many people eat processed foods that lack sufficient natural minerals.  Foods high in refined sugar further deplete the body of minerals. Seventy molecules of minerals are required to process one molecule of refined sugar; that is why sugar is an anti-nutrient.

A diet low in sugar and high in organic fruit and vegetables provides the best environment for your teeth.  If hair mineral analysis shows low levels of minerals, then supplementation is recommended.  A good general mineral supplement is Dr Dean’s ReMyte, available online.

Before reading the book, I had a small but noticeable hole developing on one of my front teeth, which disappeared after several months of mineral supplementation.

I was also using Trace Minerals Concentrace Mineral Mouth Rinse after brushing at bedtime. Sadly, this product is no longer available, so I have developed my own recipe following their ingredients.

The ingredients for the Trace Minerals Concentrace Mineral Mouth Rinse were listed as:

  • Purified water
  • Utah Sea Mineralsâ„¢
  • ConcenTrace® Sea Minerals
  • Peppermint essential oil
  • Xylitol
  • Stevia
  • Colloidal silver
  • Citric acid
  • Potassium sorbate (preservative)

The last three ingredients are mainly for shelf life and product stability. The active ingredients appear to be the mineral solution, peppermint oil, and xylitol. Xylitol helps reduce cavity-causing bacteria, but I would prefer not to use xylitol, so I have substituted it with more colloidal silver, which, in my opinion, does the same thing.

I have also added ¼ teaspoon vegetable glycerine to disperse the peppermint oil slightly better and give a smoother feel in the mouth.

The Trace Minerals Mouth Rinse was based on ConcenTrace/Utah Sea Minerals, so Concentrace is the closer match. Dr Dean’s ReMyte includes minerals such as iodine, selenium, copper, chromium and molybdenum, which are more relevant as an internal supplement than as a DIY mouthwash ingredient.

ConcenTrace is a naturally concentrated mineral brine from the Great Salt Lake. It contains a broad spectrum of 70+ naturally occurring ionic trace minerals, with a high level of magnesium and chloride. A typical ½ tsp serving gives about 250 mg magnesium, 650 mg chloride, plus small amounts of sodium, potassium, sulfate, lithium and boron.

Nano-hydroxyapatite is an additional, optional remineralising ingredient for tooth enamel. It supplies the calcium-phosphate mineral structure that resembles tooth mineral. Reviews describe hydroxyapatite toothpaste and oral-care products as promising for remineralisation and caries prevention.

Buy a 250ml glass bottle of Colloidal Silver with a glass dropper and add the ingredients.

You can experiment with the recipe. I decided to use colloidal silver as a base for my mixture. Before the modern medical system took over, Colloidal Silver was a powerful staple in hospitals, prized for its incredible ability to destroy over 650 different pathogens. It was essentially nature’s antibiotic—effective, fast-acting, and accessible.
