BACKGROUND

After gaining a 2:1 in business administration at the Newcastle Business School, specializing in public relations and marketing communications, I moved to London where I worked my way up to manager level in two top-five public relations agencies working for International and UK public relations clients in the financial, corporate, and consumer sectors. After deciding to move in-house I went on to be a freelance consultant with long contracts at Orange, the Dixons Group, and the Institute of Chartered Accountants.

My writing experience is extensive, having spent most of my professional career writing not only press releases but articles, presentations, speeches, leaflets, brochures, and at an academic level, three 10,000-word dissertations – each graded at over 70%.  Ending a successful PR career was a really difficult decision to make but I went to art school achieving a first in BA Fine Art and a distinction in MA Fine Art.
